A Valkyrie calls to YOU!
In Earth's Norse mythology a Valkyrie was a symbol of fairness and honor; a bright shining example in the cold and dark of the north. She was a supernatural being that flew over land and sea searching and protecting those she cared for. A Valkyrie was charged with finding those warriors worthy to enter the halls of Valhalla.
Are you worthy? Come, test your metal aboard the USS Valkyrie!
2400 rapidly approaches and a new century is dawning. So much has happened in the last 25 years. The Dominion Wars ended, The USS Voyager returned from the Delta Quadrant, the Romulan Empire opened up to the Federation. With the rebuilding of the fleet, the new technology brought back by Voyager, and the stabilization of the region a new age has dawned for the Federation.
One of the newest ships to launch is the USS Valkyrie, a Vesta class starship equipped with state of the art technologies, including a Quantum Slipstream Drive (QSD). With a QSD at their disposal the unknown has opened up like never before. And as Picard once said, “...It it the unknown that brings us out here”.
There are a wide variety of positions available on the Valkyrie, but in addition to those running the various sections we need the lower ranks as well. Ensigns, Cadets, Enlisted, and Civilian personnel are all more than welcome. As the GM I would not be opposed to a little “Lower Decks” style hijinkery to liven thinks up as well. Just think of all the side plot possibilities...not to mention the chaos such characters will get to stir up when April of 2401 rolls around (yes that was a reference to ST Picard and Frontier Day when the younger personnel go Borg).
The Valkyrie is a Nova based RPG set in a blended ST-Nemesis/Picard timeframe where all are welcome.
