Seven tribes were gathered on the beach that fateful day, locked in battle over a broken treaty. They were so engulfed in their war that they didn't notice the great wave that had begun to overtake the shoreline. Dogs from every tribe were pulled indiscriminately into the ocean when the water struck them. When they emerged...

The land was different. Their island, once bustling with humans and cars, had been overtaken by vast jungle. The tribes returned to their homes, only to find that they were crumbling into the earth. Their families had been lost to time. The remaining dogs, grief-stricken and lost, turned to one another for support. Once sworn enemies of war, the remnants of the seven tribes became one. They called themselves Kah Lo'a'le.

Occasionally, with no obvious rhyme or reason, another dog from the war will wash up on the beach, confused and battered. For them, the war was only moments ago. For the rest of the newly established Kah Lo'a'le...weeks, months or even years have now passed. The mystery continues to deepen.

Meanwhile, there is another tribe residing deeper in the island. They are a peaceful tribe known as Thi'le, and they are baffled by the newcomers, for they claim to have never seen another tribe - or a human - before in their entire lives. They have never known war or territorial borders. They maintain a law that states that only one tribe has and will ever live on the island.

But now, Kah Lo'a'le has laid claim to half the island for themselves, claiming that it was once their territory...
