Speaking of the overarching plot: the site is set in 2553, in a distant galaxy. Colonisation of a recently discovered planet resulted in the excavation of huge desposits of a rare element. This caught the attention of a faction in the neighbouring galaxy, who sent a warning message that they intended to invade the planet and kill anyone who remained, in order to claim the riches for themselves. Rather than abandon their new home, the colonists formed a rebellion and sent out a distress signal. Bounty hunters, military contractors, mercenaries, and other solders of fortune answered the call in force. With their support behind the rebellion, the would-be attackers were daunted, and peace may be on the horizon, though it's far from guaranteed.

About me: I'm Sticks, 26, vae/vaer/vaers/vaerself. I took a break from a lot of rp things while my brain made dial-up noises during the pandemic, and now I'm back in the swing of things. I like Star Wars, Pacific Rim, shiny rocks, video games, and ninja turtles. I use probably too many emojis and frequently get distracted by my chickens. I love ships and complicated characters. On the roleplay side of things, I usually write 3-800 words and reply within a week, and have a few years of staffing experience.

Information about positions: Staffing or MyBB experience are not required, and you don't have to be able to match my post length or frequency. As long as you can meet the activity requirements, you're golden. If you haven't been on a MyBB site before, I can teach you everything you need to know! If you like Harry Potter, we're not going to be a good fit. I'm mainly looking for people who will be active plotters and posters, and can also help with some basic tasks. Answering questions, thread moderation, reviewing applications, and advertising (bumping the site ad on directories and replying to site searches, no site-to-site ads). You don't need to help with everything, just what you're interested in.

The ideal applicant would be able to post weekly, if not more often. They would have more than one character and be involved in a site plot or group request of some sort. Familiarity with MyBB would be fabulous, especially if you've been staff before. Having ideas for future events, and being willing to run them, would also be a bonus, as well as being able to occasionally play temporary NPCs central to events.

Other notes: I have the lore completed and the site itself 95% coded. Even though I've got things mostly set up, there's still room for additions, if there's something you'd like to include. The lore was created with flexibility in mind to allow a wide variety of possibilities. The biggest thing I need from a co-staffer right now is someone to look over the current lore and let me know if it's all coherent!
